One of my favorite flavors come from peppers. I would have to say one of my all time favorites are Pablano peppers. This pepper is a lot like me. It's a bit spicier than say a bell pepper, but not as offensive as a Habenero. You can get close to this pepper and enjoy all it has to offer without the long lasting burning effect. It has a full body flavor that brightens up most everything. I love to char them on an open flame. Usually that open flame is a burner a top my gas stove. I set the flame at medium low and turn it often while I cook, chop and organize the rest of my meal.

The most glorious thing about Poblano peppers is that they go well with so many of my favorite foods. I have added this little green gem to eggs, soups, stews, casseroles and more. I have eaten them with pork, chicken and beef. Poblano peppers seem to be one of the most friendly peppers ever grown. They just get along with everything. One of my favorite dishes is chile rellenos, I have yet to master this dish and although I have tried numerous times under careful video advisement from a fabulous Foodnetwork chef, I fail time and time again. I don't know if my execution is off or they just taste better when others make them, but if you're willing to try, take a look at this.

All in All I love the Poblano and if you have passed it time and time again in your local grocery store, I encourage you to give it a whirl. You don't have to get fancy, just add it to your everyday recipes to create a new wow for dinner.
