What You'll Need:

Beer Brats

2 packages of brats
3 cans your favorite beer
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
10 slices of Jarlsberg cheese
10 thin steaks, pounded
D's seasoning mix
20 toothpicks

Putting It All Together:

In a dutch oven saute
onions and peppers with
a Tbsp each of olive oil
and unsalted butter, just
until soft.

Add beer and brats, simmer
for 20 minutes, NEVER BOIL

Remove from water and set
on a plate to cool.

Preheat grill

pound out your room temperature
thin steaks, just a couple of
pounds should do the trick.
coat both sides with D's
seasoning mix and top with
a piece of room temperature cheese.

wrap each brat with the steak,
placing a toothpick in each end
to hold the steak in place.

Place wrapped brats on hot grill
for about 10 minutes, turning to
cook and brown all sides.

drain peppers and onions from beer
and use as a brat topper or on the
side.

*D's seasoning mix=garlic powder,
season all and ground pepper.

**you can also use Monterrey Jack
cheese or your favorite.
