Prospect road in Fort Collins is closed starting today so they can fix the railroad tracks just west of Timberline! According to a press release from the City of Fort Collins :
East Prospect Road will be closed to all traffic at the Union Pacific (UP) railroad tracks west of Timberline Road for track repairs. This work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 25 and will continue through Friday, January 28, weather permitting. A detour route will be provided to direct through-traffic to use Lemay Avenue, Drake Road, Timberline Road and Mulberry Street.
This project will replace the existing crossing material and minor repairs will be made to the adjacent asphalt roadway at the City’s expense.

The Greeley Stampede is coming up, and you know what that means. Corndogs, cowboy hats, concerts, and cars. One of the best parts of the 10-day festival is the demolition derby. Hundreds (yes, hundreds) of drivers will partake in the destructive chaos. This year's demolition derby will take place on July 7th at 2:00 PM, and tickets cost $20-25.

Who doesn't love a good parade! And when it comes to parades the Greeley Stampede Parade is one of the premier parades in the entire country and the Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run has been invited back to participate this year.
Yesterday the Greeley Stampede announced Bill and Sharon Farr as the 2013 Greeley Stampede Grand Marshals. Bill Farr is a fourth generation Greeley native and the third generation in his family, including Harry W. Farr and W.D. Farr, to be chosen as a Grand Marshal. He and his family
Morgan Frazier has won the legendary John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Morgan will be at the Greeley Stampede on Friday, June 28th opening up for Josh Turner.
