An anteater at the Denver Zoo named Rio is pregnant. Rio is a southern tamandua. She is part of the zoo's Education Collection along with her mate, Quito, which provides opportunities for up-close, animal encounters for programs like outreach visits and VIP tours. For the remainder of her pregnancy, she will not be traveling away from the zoo. 

Veterinarians believe she will give birth around March.
