The Denver Nuggets fell to the Los Angeles Lakers 92-88 last night in Denver. The outcome wasn't decided until the final minute, but the LA dominated for much of the game. Danilo Gallinari had 20 points and Andre Miller had 15 points off the bench for the Nuggets. The two teams head back to Los Angeles for Game 5 tomorrow night.

Kobe Bryant got his points, but his biggest contribution came on a pass. Bryant scored 22 points but with the game in the balance he fed Steve Blake for an open 3-pointer with 40 seconds left that gave the Lakers a six-point lead and led them to a 92-88 win.  Andrew Bynum had 19 points and Pau Gasol had 13 points, nine rebounds and six assists.

With the game tied at 86, Gasol delivered a solid screen on Gallinari, who fell to the floor in pain. The ball swung around to Ramon Sessions, who drained a 3 to put the Lakers up for good. After an offensive goaltend on Miller, Blake drained another 3 to put the game away.

Nuggets coach George Karl said, "Losing always gets old. Losing is not fun. I'm not unhappy with my team, I'm not happy with where we're at, but we still have a series to play. I don't think it's an impossible challenge. I've been blessed with runs in the playoffs and I think I have one or two left in me."

Game 5:  Tomorrow night in Los Angeles at 8:30 MT (TV: Altitude/TNT).
