Linn Grove Cemetery

Weld County Military Organizations and Linn Grove Cemetery will be hosting the 2013 Memorial Day Program on Monday, May 27th at 9:00 a.m. at Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Ave. in Greeley.  This year’s program will feature Bob Bernd as Emcee, Corporal Ralph (Mac) McClure, USMC, Retired as guest speaker, White Doves for Hope Release, the GPD Honor Guard, and numerous Military Organizations.  For additional information contact Linn Grove Cemetery at (970) 350-9386, or visit their website.

LOVELAND

Loveland Burial Park

The Associated Veterans of Loveland host a program starting at 9 a.m. Monday at Loveland Burial Park, 1702 N. Cleveland Ave. The event includes a prayer, raising of the flags, a speech by guest speaker Renaye Murphy with the Veterans Administration Denver Regional Office, taps and a gun salute.

 St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church

The Knights of Columbus are sponsoring an annual Mass and memorial ceremony at St. John's at 8:30 a.m. Monday at 1730 W. 12th St.  The event will start with a Catholic Mass in the church. A procession will walk to the Veterans Shrine and a ceremony will follow.

Fort Collins

 Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall

The traveling Vietnam Wall memorial is currently on display at the Veterans Plaza in Spring Canyon Community Park, which is on Horsetooth Road at the far west end of Fort Collins. The Wall is an 80% replica of the actual Vietnam Memorial located in Washington, D.C. The memorial will be on display through Memorial Day.

There will be a special ceremony on Saturday, May 25th at 11:30 a.m. at the Veterans Plaza.  Events will include a  helicopter flyover, music, food vendors, speakers, Vietnam-era re-enactors and vintage vehicles. The keynote speaker will be Lt. Gen. John Thomas Myers.
