My Free Day in Rocky Mountain National Park [Picture Gallery]

Too often I take for granted that we live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Saturday was a perfect, stunning, sunshiny day! I was standing on Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park next to a gentleman from Mississippi who said, “This is breathtaking. It’s a once in a lifetime experience!” I didn’t have the heart to tell him that I lived just a little over an hour away.
I took advantage of a free day over the weekend at Rocky Mountain National Park. Admission to all of our national parks is free during National Park Week, which runs through Sunday, April 29th. That means all 397 parks in the system will let you in without a charge, including all 4 National Parks in Colorado:
- Rocky Mountain National Park
- Mesa Verde National Park
- Great Sand Dunes National Park
- Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park
I took a few pictures while I was in the park. Hope you enjoy them.
