Motorcycle Charity Poker Runs for the Month of July in Northern Colorado

Twin Peaks B.A.C.A. is having their 2nd Annual Poker Run on July 13th. Registration will be at the Garden City VFW (2514 7th Ave.) starting at 9:00 a.m. (1st Bike out at 10:00 a.m.) and ends at the Green Mill Tavern (3419 Sate Street) in Evans. Cost is only 15 per rider and $5 per passenger. All proceeds benefit B.A.C.A. and the abused kids they help. For more information follow the link or call “Giz’ at 970-302-9646.
In honor of Staff SGT Ken Mayne, American Military Family is once again proud to present the Memory Mayne poker run on Saturday, July 19th. This run will again have two registration points: North is at Greeley Harley-Davidson (3010 W. 29th Street) and South is at Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson (2885 W. County Line Rd. in Littleton. Cost is $25 per rider and you can save $5 by registering online at www.amf100.org. The event ends at Jerry D’s (604 8th St.) in Dacono.
Family and friends are gathering to put on a memorial poker run to honor United States Marine, Sgt. James “OJ” Alvarado. All vehicles are welcome and encourage to attend. The run will end at the American Legion in Windsor. Cost is $15 per rider/hand and then $5 for each additional rider/hand.
The Blue Star Mothers #3 is hosting a poker run to help raise $65,000 for the Colorado Gold Star Parents Weekend. Registration for the poker run will be at The Hideout Patio Bar and Grill (1903 E Lincoln) in Fort Collins starting at 9:00 a.m.. Cost is $20 per Bike/Car and $5 per passenger. All money raised and donations go to support Colorado Gold Star Parent Weekend.
The CVMA (Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association) Chapter 3-4 Iron Plains is inviting you to join them for the ‘Injured Soldier Poker Run.’ They do this run once a year to benefit a local soldier who has been injured. This year beneficiary is Chris Friedrichsen -United States Marine Corps. Chris served two tours in Iraq and was injured during an IED explosion. Shrapnel went through his leg, buttocks; he also suffers from PTSD and hearing loss. This event is unique in that it has separate routes for bikes and cars. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. at Parrott’s Sports Grill (6050 Firestone Blvd) in Firestone. Cots is only $20.00 for bike/$5.00 for passenger and $25.00 per car. Come help the VFW Warriors – Dist. 3 raise money for Honor Flight Northern Colorado. Breakfast starts at 8:00 a.m. at the Evans VFW for $8.00 and registration for the poker run starts at 9:00 a.m. Cost for the poker run is $20.00 per rider and $10.00 for a passenger. The run ends at the VFW Pioneer Post (2121 2514 7th Ave.) in Garden City. Live entertainment, raffles, door prizes and giveaways and you must be present to win. 100% of the proceeds go directly to sending Veterans to Washington D.C. this September via Honor Flight Northern Colorado.
