Monday is memorial day when we pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for this country. It is also a day that I think we need to thank and recognize those who serve and have served and pay tribute to them while they are here with us. We could not be here breathing this Colorado air and enjoying our families and barbecues and all that this area has to offer if it were not for these brave men and women. Fly your flag, love your country and fellow men and women who live in it, take advantage and hold dear what these heroes gave their lives for. We live in the greatest country this world has ever seen because of the vision of our fallen heroes.

If you see a veteran or currently enlisted soldier, shake their hands and say thank you it is the least you can do. I was in the grocery store the other day and was behind a man with a veteran hat on. I thanked him for his service and he was very moved by me simply saying thank you. I then decided that the least I could do was buy the few items of groceries he had, he tried to refuse but finally gave in when he saw I would not take no for an answer. He was moved to tears and so was I. I have never spent money more wisely. Do whatever you can to honor those who served. There are many observances taking place in our area. Go show your respect and gratitude.
