Today is a very sad day here at the radio station. We have been expecting it for some time but still you are never fully prepared for it. Our dear sweet Cyndy Kukus lost her battle with cancer last night. Cyndy used to work the front desk at our station where she met and fell in love with the love of her life Josh Kukus, who you now see sitting in that same chair Cyndy sat in at the front desk.

Cyndy was only 32 years old and leaves behind 2 beautiful children. My heart breaks writing this. This is the hardest piece I have ever written in my life. I just loved this couple. Josh is one of my best friends in the world and one of the kindest people you will ever meet. I was so thrilled when these two "made for each other" souls became one. I was honored to be there when they became one in 2009. I have never witnessed such love...ever.

Here is how Josh let us know of Cyndy's passing.

Dear all...it is with a very heavy heart that I tell you that my dear wife lost her fight against cancer Sunday evening.  She fought bravely and passed peacefully surrounded by many loved ones.  Thank you all for your love and support over the past year and a half...it's definitely been one hell of a long journey.  I am incredibly heart broken over losing her but I am extremely relieved she is no longer suffering...she is no longer in pain.  Tomorrow, Monday, I begin picking up the pieces...Josh

This day reminds me that we need to put down the phone, turn off the computer and put our focus on the ones we love. Treasure your time together, make memories and share joy. Tell each other how much you love each other, hold each other and kiss every kiss like it's your last one. There are no guarantees of anything other than the moment you are in. Make those you love your priority just like Josh and Cyndy.

I will miss you so much Cyndy. We will be here for Josh and the kids and your memory will live with all whose life you have touched with your love, courage and kindness. The world is better place because you were in it. Lord take care of your new angel.
