Love is All I Need: My Gratitude List – Brian’s Blog

I am sure you have been seeing people doing the gratitude challenge on Facebook. Where you challenge a few friends to post what they are grateful for. Susan did a piece on this the other day and did a great job with it. She asked me if I had been challenged yet and I told her I hadn't. She asked me what would be on my list if I did one. Aside from meat and music I had one word for her...LOVE. She asked what I meant by love. This is what I mean.

I love love. I love seeing it, touching it, watching it, being near it and just experiencing it in all facets. I love the love you feel with your family and the feeling of togetherness love brings. Love is the first time you feel a little babies hand wrap around your finger. Love is finding a singer or band you can't get enough of. Love is seeing a movie that makes you feel something. Love is seeing a couple holding hands as they walk around the park. Love is seeing a gentleman open the car door for his bride. Love is kissing someone you can't wait to kiss again. Love is watching your favorite team play. Love is seeing someone you love find love. Love is hearing your children call you Dad. Love is seeing a baby animal at the zoo. Love is finding a plate of food that makes your taste buds dance. Love is a motorcycle ride on a back country road. Love is seeing the mountains and smiling about where you live. Love is saying something to someone that lights up their day. Love is helping someone who needs a hand. Love is getting your face licked by your pet. Love is finding your passion and getting to make a living at it. Love is the greatest power on this planet. The Beatles were right...all you need is love.
