Little Big Town May Have Outdone “Pontoon” With The Release Of The New Album’s Title Track [VIDEO][POLL]
There is little doubt that Little Big Town is riding new found success with the acquisition of their first #1 single, “Pontoon,” just earlier this month. No time to rest for LBT as they release the album’s title track, “Tornado,” as it’s second release. Now it’s time to do your civil duty here on Brand New With Barnes by voting and letting us know what you think.
Little Big Town obviously ready to end 2012 with a bang as they are currently up for some sweet CMA awards including Vocal Group of the Year and also for Single of the Year for “Pontoon,” Music Video of the Year and just for good measure enjoying not only a #1 single but #1 album as well.
The 5th album, “Tornado,” was released on September 11, 2012 and within 1 week the album shot to the #1 spot on Billboards Top Country Album chart and #2 on the Billboard 200 chart just behind the Dave Mathews Band. Within another week the band saw their first #1 single too with “Pontoon.”
Karen Fairchild of LBT mentioned the following about recording “Tornado:”
The process [of making the album] also kind of felt like a storm. Fast and furious and overwhelming and quickly gone. It feels like there’s a really good storm brewing in our camp. Something that comes through every once in a while and it’s really good, but it’s powerful and just a change in the air twirling around. It’s a tornado in a good way.
So does “Tornado” have what it takes in your eyes? It does seem though that the Positive Perfect Storm I talked about with Craig Morgan earlier this week seems to be taking place currently for Little Big Town.
