If you've been wanting to gather friends to sing "Kum ba yah" around a small contained campfire or set off your fireworks, the wait is over. Larimer County Commissioners have lifted fire restrictions for unincorporated Larimer County effective immediately. Restrictions on open fires and fireworks had been put in place for portions of Larimer County on June 25th. The restrictions had been set to expire on September 3rd, but thanks to all the wet weather we have had lately, the restrictions have been lifted early.  Brush and slash burning is still banned until three inches of snow cover the ground in winter. The Coloradoan has more details.
