Kelly Clarkson Engaged to Reba McEntire’s Stepson, Brandon Blackstock

After nearly a year of dating her talent manager boyfriend Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson is officially off the market! The ‘Don’t Rush’ singer took to her Twitter account Saturday (Dec. 15) to share the good news of her engagement.
“I’M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y’all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever
,” tweeted an elated Clarkson.
The singer also gave her fans a first look at her stunning engagement ring — a canary yellow diamond with white diamonds surrounding it. The groom-to-be personally crafted the jaw-dropping bling with famed jeweler Johnathon Arndt, a Beverly Hills based artist who also helped design Carrie Underwood‘s engagement ring.
The marriage will be the first for the 30-year-old singer, and the second for Blackstock, who is the son of Music Row executive Narvel Blackstock and stepson of country music’s own Reba McEntire. Though no date was given concerning the big day, Clarkson has previously said that a quickie ceremony may be in cards for the happy couple.
“We will totally, probably elope,” Clarkson admitted during a recent interview on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres’ show. “Honestly, I’ve never been the girl to plan a wedding.”
No matter the nature of the ceremony, the Texas native ensures fans that marriage is a very serious commitment for both her and Blackstock — for very good reasons.
“He was married for awhile and I come from two broken homes so… my whole thing is I don’t wanna rush into something,” Clarkson, a now-Nashville resident, says of her cautious crawl towards marriage. “We are very happy in love and we will totally be getting married. But we’re not planning that anytime soon.”
Until Clarkson officially becomes the second famous Mrs. Blackstock to grace the country music charts, the singer will no doubt remain busy on the road promoting her recently-released ‘Greatest Hits – Chapter One’ album, which features her Top 40 country hit, ‘Don’t Rush,’ as well as her Top 20 pop hit, ‘Catch My Breath.’ Upcoming profile appearances include a performance spot on the season finale of ‘The Voice.’
