What a great way to spend time with your family. Gather up your bikes and head to Sanborn Park this Tuesday for one fantastic bike ride.

The City of Greeley does family bike rides each month at a different location and for August 5, it's Sanborn Park at 2031 28th Avenue. Interested parties will meet in the NW parking lot at 6:00 p.m.

Staff from several City departments, Weld County Public Health and Environment, North Colorado Health Alliance and Banner Health will be on hand to guide the three-mile tour, talk about bike riding safety, and make minor bike repairs and adjustments.

The whole idea is to introduce parks to those who may not use them and to showcase them a bit. Staff will educate those who need more information about safety, traffic and you might even learn some history along the way from familiar and not so familiar neighborhoods around town. Helmets are strongly encouraged and they will even provide 20 helmets to the first who register.
