Here's some irony for y'all. When I first started the 'Friday Free for All' last year, one of the first themes I did was country artists you had most likely never heard of before; Jason Cassidy was one of those I featured that day and played a song called "Blame it on Waylon" which is one of the videos I have below for your viewing pleasure.

As the irony would continue, today, Jason stopped by on his 2015 radio tour to sit and hang out in the studio for awhile and chat about his future, new single called "Cowboy Girl" and his third album that will be released this spring.

Texas is no stranger to some huge regional acts and Jason Cassidy is one of the heavy hitters in the state with many great singles to his name including some of his biggest like,

  • Sounds Like An Angel To Me
  • Honky Tonk Heaven
  • What If
  • Ride Of Your Life
  • Blame It On Waylon

The new album is called "717" which will be released this spring, is actually his birthday, but there is much more to it than that which Jason explains in the video below and a more detailed version on website which you can get to by clicking on the link above. Jason Cassidy is a breath of fresh air when it comes to country music because he brings the roots back to your radio and sounds more like a traditional George Strait or Alan Jackson for a refreshing "new sound" to your ears; or old as the case may be.

When Jason isn't at home in Montgomery, Texas or in Nashville, he can be found hunkering down with family, in the garage getting greasy or in a hunting blind somewhere. True to his roots, he's country through and through and that's what makes him special. Good things are in store for Jason Cassidy and with the new album coming out, a new team behind him and more focus than he's ever had, nothing will hold him back to make sure he does what it takes to see the success he so deserves.
