Janitor Wins $3.4 Million Lottery — and Continues to Be A Janitor [VIDEO]
Tyrone Curry doesn’t have to wake up at 4 a.m. and mop the floors at Evergreen High School in Seattle.
Not after the custodian won the Washington State lottery to the tune of $3.41 million five years ago.
Curry stayed on because he was happy with his life. “I’m just Joe Citizen,” he told ‘Today.’ And also because he has another role at Evergreen High School, coaching the track team.
In fact, one of Curry’s big splurges was the $40,000 he donated for a new state-of-the-art track at the school, which is in a poor neighborhood.
Even though he is man who clearly isn’t looking for a life on easy street, The Vietnam vet continues to play the lottery. Why?
“Our tennis coach, she has, like, a hundred kids tryin’ to play on four courts,” Curry explained. Check out the ‘Today’ segment on this unique lottery winner below.
