There has been a lot of businesses that have opened in the recent months and that are opening soon. But none have been asked to change their name. Until now.

As the Coloradoan reported,  Illegal Pete's in Old Town Fort Collins, has been asked by Fort Collins residents to change their name.

The restaurant owner Pete Turner was in Fort Collins on Wednesday listening to a crowd of concerned residents who asked that he change his business' name.

The restaurant is modeled after Mexican food from San Francisco's Mission District, specifically over-sized burritos. The name Illegal Pete's, the owner hoped would be enough to catch people's interest, and want them to find out more.

So why all the fuss?

On Wednesday, 30 or so community members explained that the negative "meaning" of the word illegal, or the "I-word," as some referred to it, is at the heart of the issue and what it means in society today.

How do you feel about this? Is it justified for people to be upset? Or do you think people take things to literally these days?
