It Was a Week Filled of K99 Christmas Wishes Being Granted

What a week it has been here at K99, as we started to grant wishes to individuals and families all across Northern Colorado.

It all started on Thursday morning, as the Good Morning Guys welcomed Dave Smith into the studio where he was surprised by his wife Angela. Angela is the person who wrote into the station to get Dave's wish granted, and here is what she wrote into us:

"I listen to the Good Morning Guys everyday on my way to work and Matt Sparx on the way home when I heard your Christmas wish. This wish is not for me. I am married to a wonderful man who is a good husband, awesome father and great provider. He was in the Coast Guard and then a sound engineer doing a world tour and many USA tours. He was hit by a car on his Harley many years ago and broke his femur, 20 years and 13 surgeries he is still in chronic pain. 3 years ago he broke his back and after 2 surgeries he still lives with pain. He has always wanted a Dobro guitar. He has sacrificed a lot for his family over the years and there never seemed enough money. Now the children are grown and I know this one thing would truly make him happy. Thank you and Merry Christmas!!"

So we worked with Dave's job to get him into the studio, with the understanding that our building's heat needed to be worked on. Little did he know, he'd be on the air with Brian and Todd that morning.

We've also granted a couple other wishes, and will have a big one being announced just after Christmas!
