I Love Being a Daddy!
First off, I would like to say Happy Father’s Day to all you dads, grand pa’s and daddies-to-be. Father’s Day ,to me, isn’t a time to celebrate myself. It’s a time for me to reflect on everyone around me that gave me the opportunity to be a Daddy. If it wasn’t for quite possibly the world’s greatest wife (and mommy) Sara as well as my 3 beautiful daughters Katlynn, Rylie and Shelby, I would not know the joy of a father’s love. It’s a joy that both of my dads and all 4 of my brothers knew long before I did. I consider myself in good company. Along with My dads and brothers, I am surrounded by great dads at my work that include Brian Gary and Charley Barnes among many others. I would like to say thank you to all those guys for being a positive influence on me as a Daddy.
My Father’s Day started off with my 3 yr old, Shelby, waking me up and cuddling. The first words out of her mouth were “Happy Father’s Day Daddy, I love you.” Immediately the waterworks started for me. Soon after Mommy and our 2 oldest were showering me with gifts and cards. I am lucky to have a wife that listens and understands me. She knows how much I love Dan Brown as an author and understands the new man-crush I have on Eric Church(You still hold a special place in my heart Garth). Sara is also an arts and crafts genius as she helped our daughters make what I think has got to be the world’s cutest Daddy’s Day card. To cap off this already great day, I’m having fried chicken for dinner! Did I mention I truly love being a Daddy?!
