Admit it, some states are more average than others, while some just scream weird when their name is mentioned. With that being said, how normal or weird do you think Colorado is? The Business Insider has used 40 demographic, social and economic indicators to determine what states skewed away from, or were the most consistent to, the most "average" indicators. They used this data to rake the states from the most "weird" or the most "normal." Some are rather obvious, and others may surprise.

The Weirdest:

51.) District of Columbia

50.) Hawaii

49.) Alaska

48.) California

47.) New York

The Most Normal:

5.) Michigan

4.) North Carolina

3.) Oregon

2.) Missouri

1.) Indiana

So where does Colorado fall? We fell in my mind at a respectable 18... that's the 18th most normal state. Not to weird, and not high enough to be considered a square. What made Colorado weird, was that we had the 3rd highest amount of residents with at least a bachelors degree, and the 3rd highest amount of residents who like to move around. What made us "normal," is that our state is home to the national average of immigrants.
