We are just a little over a week away from the big day of feasting and thankfulness known as Thanksgiving. I cannot wait. It is a day of my favorite 'F words' like food, family, friends and football. We have family coming in for the holiday and it will be a wonderful time of togetherness.

The big star of Thanksgiving is, of course, the bird. There are many different ways to prepare Mr. Turkey for the table. These days a lot of folks are deep frying their gobbler. I have seen this attempted and seen it go horribly wrong and had it go well. I will stick with the traditional oven cooked, butter basted, delicious brown skinned turkey that fills the house with that smell for hours. How do you like yours?
