Happy 61st Birthday to the Talented Mr. Kix Brooks [VIDEO]

Kix Brooks is blowing out 61 candles on a cake somewhere today. Kix was born on this date in 1955 in Shreveport, Louisiana and went on to make musical history forming a duo with Ronnie Dunn.

Brooks and Dunn have set every record possible for a country duo to achieve. They have had decades of hit after hit. We know they split up a few years ago and went on their solo missions but it is great to see they are back together and doing some shows again. During their split, Kix actually put out a killer solo album.

Kix is one the good guys in our business. He has become quite a successful radio man too, winning many many big time awards for his on air work. Happy birthday Mr. Brooks. Here are a couple gems from his solo album and a classic B&D tune that he sang lead on too. Enjoy!
