Greeley Accident Kills Motorcyclist

Tragic news coming in from Greeley as investigators sift through a fatal accident involving a motorcycle on 11th Ave by UNC.

The motorcyclist collided with a green Jeep Cherokee at the intersection of 11th Avenue and 23rd St. in Greeley. Police closed the streets around the area and 11th Ave is closed going South at 23rd St.

The accident happened around 2 p.m. when witnesses say they saw two motorcyclists driving down 10th. A witness said a Jeep turned left on 23rd Street from 10th Avenue toward North Dorm at UNC, hitting one of the motorcycles.

Witnesses have also said the two bikes were racing down 11th and one blew a red light however these are all unsubstantiated reports at this time.

Responders at the scene immediately attempted CPR for 5 minutes while emergency crews arrived but Greeley police have confirmed the man has died.
