Great Day For Colorado Basketball – CSU, CU, & Nuggets Win! [POLL]
I admit it! I am a homer. I love the home teams, especially the CSU Rams. I went to CSU for a year or so back in the 80s. Yesterday was a great day for Colorado basketball. CSU beat Fresno State in the Mountain West tournament! CU beat Oregon State in the Pac 12 Tournament, and the Nuggets spoiled Carmelo’s return to Denver last night with their 10th win in a row.
LOCAL COLLEGE BASKETBALL
- The CSU Rams men’s basketball team beat Fresno State 67-61 yesterday in the 1st round of the Mountain West Tournament in Las Vegas. The Rams advance to the semi-finals against UNLV, who will have the home-court advantage. The game will be played on Friday night.
- The CU Buffs beat Oregon State 74-68 in the 1st round of the Pac-12 Tournament. They will face Arizona today in the Quarterfinals of the tournament. The game is today at 3:30 on the Pac-12 Network.
- The UNC Bears play Montana State tonight in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Tournament in Missoula, Montana.
NUGGETS POUND CARMELO AND THE KNICKS
Carmelo Anthony returned to Denver yesterday with the New York Knicks only to be blown out by the Nuggets 117-94. Anthony also left the game with an injured knee. He is out indefinitely. It was the 10th win in a row for the Nuggets, who are now just 1 1/2 games out of 3rd place in the Western Conference.
