Governor Inauguration Today

John Hickenlooper will be sworn in today as Colorado's 42nd Governor. Brian, Todd, and Susan had a chance to meet the new Governor at the Greeley Stampede parade last year. Back then he was Denver's Mayor. Hickenlooper will be sworn in along with Lt. Gov.-elect Joe Garcia. Here is the schedule for today from ColoradoCanDo.com :

10 a.m. swearing-in ceremony The inauguration ceremony for all statewide elected officials will take place on the west steps of the Colorado State Capitol. Seating is open –- first come first serve — to the public starting at 8 a.m.

Noon — student lunch Gov. John Hickenlooper and Lt. Governor Joe Garcia will host “My Colorado” student contest winners and their classmates for lunch at the Denver Art Museum.

5:30 p.m. — inaugural dinner and dancing Keeping it Colorado, the dinner at the Fillmore Auditorium will “celebrate “our rich cultural heritage with food, beverages and bands from around the state.” Tickets are available online for $100.
