Go Ahead and Indulge – It’s National Milk Chocolate Day – July 28
At our staff meeting yesterday, our boss opened with, "If you could have one candy for the rest of your life, what candy would that be?" There were various answers like Starburst, Lifesavers, AirHeads...but there is only one real choice for me, Hersheys
Plain Chocolate candy bars.
According to whatscookingamerica.net Daniel Peter created the first milk chocolate in 1887. He called his product “Gala” which translated from Greek as “from the milk.” He worked for Nestle in Switzerland until he was in his 90’s. We love him, huh?
While there are other days celebrating chocolate in October and another around Valentines, make no mistake, July 28 is National Milk Chocolate Day. Enjoy!
