Normally when it’s someone’s birthday you give them a treat. Not the case when it’s 7-Eleven’s birthday! They are giving us the treat to help celebrate their 85th birthday. Starting at 11 a.m., all participating 7-Eleven locations in the U.S. and Canada will be giving away free 7.11 oz. Slurpee drinks until 7 p.m.

Joe DePinto, 7-Eleven president and CEO, says he expects to give away 7 million Slurpee drinks, up from 2 million last year, according to a statement at 7-eleven.com.

If you really want to gear up to celebrate the occasion, 7-Eleven is providing downloadable party hats and bow ties on their website.

Party time!
