I know that its hard to get past the word F-R-E-E... what a great weekend to kick off too... great weather, Earth Day, the Lyrid meteor shower... it's just one of those weekends where it is good to be alive and living in such a beautiful land.

Now of course with free admission to the parks this gorgeous weekend you might be in line for 15 minutes, but hey its free and you can't beat that price to visit our amazing parks.

In Colorado you can enjoy some of the big park attractions like Rocky Mountain National Park, Mesa Verde, Great Sand Dunes and Black Canyon of Gunnison. Some are day trips and others will take a little extra time, but one of the greatest adventures available for a family or a knee deep in love couple.  National Park Week and free admission begins today and wraps up on next Sunday, April 29, 2012.

If for some reason you can't hit a park this week there are other F-R-E-E days throughout the year including "Get Outdoors Day" in June.
