Fort Collins School Advances to National Science Bowl

A team from Lesher Middle School in Fort Collins will advance to the 2014 National Science Bowl finals in Washington, D.C., in April.

Competitors solve technical problems and answer questions on a range of disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics and math, among others.

Lesher’s team was among 14 middle and high school teams to do so and the only one from Colorado.

The top 16 high school teams and the top eight middle school teams in the National Finals will win $1,000 for their schools’ science departments.
