The 4th of July fireworks show for the City of Ft Collins was rescheduled due to the High Park Fire.  The city announced today WHEN the show will go on!

The City of Fort Collins is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and one of the main components of the celebration was the fireworks display on the 4th of July.  That show got put on hold because of The High Park Fire.

 

Today, the city let everyone know when they should pack a lunch and get a spot a City Park for the big show! Sunday September 16th!

The whole theme and the whole focus will still be City Park’s 100th anniversary,” said John Litel, spokesman for the city parks department. “This will definitely be the largest event associated with that.”

A time capsule will be buried at 4 p.m. Opening remarks and live musical entertainment, which is being organized in conjunction with the Lincoln Center, start at 5 p.m. The fireworks display launched from Sheldon Lake is scheduled to begin at 8:08 p.m.

More details about shuttles and musical entertainment will be posted as they become available.
