Injured Fort Collins Firefighter Identified
God bless our firefighters. They put themselves in very dangerous situations to keep us safe and I am grateful for that. The firefighter injured in the July 7th, apartment fire in Fort Collins has been identified. Firefighter Chris Hill suffered 2nd degree burns to his forehead and a 1st degree burn to his back. He was transported to Poudre Valley Hospital, treated and released the same night. Hill will be off work until next week.
Meanwhile, Poudre Fire Authority , and Fort Collins Police investigators along with one investigator from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have determined the fire started inside a storage room on the backside of the Bull Run Apartment building. Due to the ongoing investigation a specific cause is not being disclosed. Damages from the fire total more than $200,000.
