The Fort Collins Symphony presents Beethoven Lives Upstairs—a fantastical musical drama about a young boy who befriends the renowned composer. The production features Beethoven’s music, cleverly woven into the program’s storyline, which is based on real events from composer’s life. The musical accompaniment showcases more than 25 excerpts from the famous composer’s music.

The YES Series Programs are designed to provide area students, many of whom have had no prior exposure to a live, full symphonic orchestra, an opportunity to experience the quality of sound and grandeur that only a symphony can produce. The Symphony has been presenting the YES Educational Programs to Poudre School District students annually since 1952.

This repeat performance is open to the public to offer the wider community the opportunity to learn more about the Fort Collins Symphony and Beethoven’s music in an accessible and entertaining format.
