Kristi’s Dream Ride Poker Run – Providing Scholarships for Single Moms

Get your leathers, hop on your Harley, and cruise on over to the 1st annual Kristi’s Dream Ride Poker Run Saturday, May 21st for a fun-filled 100 mile ride and poker run through scenic Northern Colorado.

Registration begins at 9am at Pappy’s Corner Pub, 1027 W. Horsetooth Rd. Fort Collins.  Entry for Kristi’s Dream Ride is $20 per bike and $10 per passenger.  Stops include Windjammer, The Corral, Crazy Jacks, Bruce’s Bar and Colorado Feed & Grain.  All Bikes, All Riders, All Modes of Vehicles – Everyone Welcome.

The After Party starts at 3pm at Colorado Feed & Grain with food, live music, prizes and drink specials.

The Kristi Visocky Memorial Foundation, a.k.a. Kristi's Fund, was created in memory of Kristi Visocky who was killed in an auto accident in May of 2003 at the age of 21. Determined to keep alive the spirit and compassion of a young woman who was a strong champion of the underdog and supporter of troubled youth, Kristi's Fund was set up to provide scholarships and assistance to area young women.

The young women who have benefited from the Kristi Visocky Memorial Foundation Scholarships are the very types Kristi supported: young, displaced girls and single moms, working to pull their life back together and create a better life for themselves or their families. One such woman, a single mom of three little boys, who was embarking on nursing school, put it this way when told she would receive a $2000 scholarship to Front Range Community College, "You don't know what this means to me. It's not just the money for school, it's that you believe in me and believe that I can do this!"
