On Saturday, July 12 over 100 Anheuser-Busch employees and family members will tap their D.I.Y. skills to help Habitat for Humanity build and improve homes for 21 families in Fort Collins’ Rigden Farm subdivision. By the end of 2014, Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity will have completed 200 homes total locally and internationally. Of those 200 homes, 57 of them will be built in Fort Collins, including the 21 homes built in Rigden Farm, and 143 built internationally.

To commemorate this remarkable milestone in the organization’s mission to provide families with safe and secure housing, Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity is inviting the community to a special celebration event. The Rigden Farm Community Celebration will be held on July 12 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Rigden Farm Shopping Center, 2602 South Timberline Road, Fort Collins.

Participants will get to cheer on the volunteers, while enjoying in the festivities. From 10 a.m.- 11 a.m., they can get their photo with the world-renowned Budweiser Clydesdales.  From 11 a.m.-1 p.m. the Budweiser Clydesdales will parade through Rigden Farm.

“Anheuser-Busch has been a remarkable partner in helping Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity transform our neighborhoods,” said Kristin Candella, Executive Director, Fort Collins Habitat for Humanity. “They share our vision to create a more sustainable future where families can afford to live where they work.”

This is the third consecutive year that Anheuser-Busch employees have participated in local Habitat builds. Nationwide, Anheuser-Busch is involved in Habitat programs in 12 cities located near its U.S. breweries. In 2013, more than 500 Anheuser-Busch employees nationwide built and renovated 38 homes and logged 4,500 volunteer hours around the country.
