John Fielder is a 40-year resident of Colorado, nature photographer, and author of 41 coffee table and guide books, most about Colorado.His photography has influenced people and legislation earning him recognition including the Sierra Club's Ansel Adams Award, and most recently the Aldo Leopold Foundation’s first-ever Achievement Award. He was an original governor-appointed member of the lottery-related Board of Great Outdoors Colorado, and is currently photographing GOCO-invested parks, trails, open space, wildlife habitat, and ranches for a celebration of GOCO’s 20th anniversary in 2012.
