Colorado Ballet's Ballet Mistress, Lorita Travaglia, will be bring new choreography to our holiday favorite, The Nutcracker. Enjoy a spicy Spanish Chocolate, a sharp and tangy Chinese Tea and a tastefully robust Waltz of the Flowers. This cherished holiday tradition showcases the talents of Canyon Concert Ballet’s Company dancers, and a cast of students from Canyon Concert Dance Center.

CCB’s production of The Nutcracker tells the classic story of Clara’s vivid dream, her Nutcracker Doll, who becomes a handsome Prince, and their adventure into the Kingdom of the Sweets. The deep richness of the Victorian Christmas scene in the first act gives way to the bright and beautiful Act II, when Clara and her Nutcracker travel through a glistening Land of Snow. The dazzling Snow Queen sends the enchanted couple on their way to the Kingdom of the Sweets, where Canyon Concert Ballet dancers bring delicious gifts like Russian Trepak, Arabian Coffee, and French Marzipan to Clara and the Prince.
