Does Anyone Remember HS Prep Star Brian Banks? [VIDEO]

I distinctly remember hearing of Brian Banks almost a decade ago.  He was at the time a highly scouted LB out of Long Beach California who had many schools offering him scholarships and a pro career was only 4 years away. But then, he was accused of rape and all those dreams were dashed away as he spent the next 5 years in prison and another 5 on probation.  Then, the unthinkable happened last year!

It was last year when the woman who accused him of rape sent a FB friend request believe it or not!

Brian Banks realized very quickly that he had his way to exoneration so he agreed to meet with her and got her on tape admitting that the charges were not real, and finally saw all charges dropped just last week.

So now Brian wants his shot in the NFL and it looks like more than several teams are willing to give him a chance with the Seattle Seahawks at the top of the list.  It was Pete Carroll who was courting Banks to play for him when he was at USC back in 2001 and 2002 and now he will finally get his chance to show Coach Carroll what he's got on June 7th.  He will then work out for the Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins and Miami Dolphins.

Banks is working out 6 days a week with one of the most reputable trainers in the industry and I don't know about you but I would dearly love to see Brian Banks play professional football. Even though he has never played a down of college ball and has missed 10 years of football all together many are saying he has what it takes.

If this isn't one of the best sports stories in a long time I don't know what is.  Talk about a second chance!  And as much as I want to see him succeed I also want to see his false accuser spend the next decade behind bars for her actions.

I truly hope she gets what she deserves!
