Disaster Assistance Center Opens in Loveland
The Disaster Assistance Center is being set up at the Rocky Mountain Center for Innovation And Technology (formerly the old HP/Agilent Building) at 14th and Taft. Donations are being accepted in Lower D building on the east side of the facility starting at 10:00 AM Sunday morning. The center
will be collecting and distributing your donations to help those affected by the recent floods.
The Big Thompson River near Loveland remains under a Flood Warning with up to 2 additional inches of rain forecast for today. The National Weather Service says that at
5 this morning, the Big T was at 9.1 feet. Flood stage is 6 feet.
The Loveland Reporter Herald reports another death because of the high waters.The body of a 60-year-old woman in the Cedar Cove area of the Big Thompson Canyon was found unresponsive in the river
The sheriff’s office said a shelter is set up in the Thompson Valley School Administration Building in Loveland – 800 S. Taft Avenue
