Pretty quickly after the announcement was made that Vance Joseph would become the Denver Broncos' new head coach, reports that he was accused of sexual assault began to recirculate.

The Daily Camera published the initial report back in 2003 when Joseph was accused of sexually assaulting two female trainers at the University of Colorado that year. He was never arrested for the allegations but was investigated for sexual harassment the following year.

The Big Lead/USA TODAY Sports shared an excerpt from the report, which details Joseph buying one woman drinks, smoking marijuana together, and ending up naked in bed with her, an act that was not consensual. The other woman confessed to similar events happening to her at around the same time.

The Denver Broncos have reportedly said they were well aware of these allegations when Joseph was hired and his background was "thoroughly reviewed," though the team's executives have so far dismissed questions regarding the sexual assault allegations.
