Congress Requires U.S. Postal Service to Deliver Mail on Saturday
Saturday mail service won’t be stopped after all. The U.S. Congress is requiring that it continues. On Wednesday, a statement from the US Postal Service stated that Congress passed a spending bill that prohibits it from reducing the number of delivery days, despite the Postal Services' plan to do so.
Meanwhile, the Postal Service will continue losing money. It lost $16 billion last year and is reported losing $25 million daily.
I think this is a bunch of hooey! I honestly can't believe Congress is forcing the Postal Service to lose even more money. It makes no sense. What do you think?
