Colorado never seizes to amaze onlookers when it comes to lending a helping hand. When someone stands up for a good cause or need, Coloradans are right there to help in any way they can and the proof is in the pudding with the numbers out from Colorado Cares Day.
Colorado Gives Day breaks records this year and soars right past the $1 million dollar goal to come in at $1.5 million
The non-profits that participated in Colorado Gives Day was up from previous years by about 34%.
The top recipient of Colorado Cares 2014 is Respite Care, a facility that provides services and programs for families of children with developmental disabilities.
Statewide the state brought in $26 million for non-profits, surpassing 2013 totals of $20.5 million.
