Weld County Food Bank Volunteers Needed to Aid Flood Victims
With the devastation of the 2013 Colorado Floods, many people are struggling in a variety of different ways. Fortunately it seems like everyone has been looking for ways to jump in and help.
We’ve got a very practical way that you can do just that! Wednesday, if you can spare just 2 hours, Weld Food Bank could use your help!
You’ve seen the damage that these floods have caused. You’ve seen and heard about the people who’ve lost their homes. You’ve been telling us you want to help. There are many ways you can do so as fundraisers and such are begin getting organized, The Red Cross, The Salvation Army.
One of the first comes this Wednesday; you can help Weld Food Bank to feed flood victims. They will be out collecting food donations from 10am-6pm at all King Soopers locations in Greeley, Windsor and Firestone. They will also be at Sams Club and Wal-Mart locations.
Weld Food Bank is looking for volunteers at those locations. Volunteers will give hand outs to shoppers to let them know what we need, accept donations, and thank donors. It’s EASY and it is a great time where you get to see how AMAZINGLY GENEROUS our community is!
They are looking for 160 volunteers to work in 2-hour shifts on Wednesday! If you can help, send an email (with your availability and phone number) to Cherri Witt-Brown- email@example.com and she will be in contact to get you set up!
