A seasonal 20-bed cold-weather shelter for women is now open in Fort Collins. The shelter is located in the Community of Christ activity center at 220 E. Oak Street and is operated by Catholic Charities. It will operate nightly during the winter season through March 2015 and provides overnight sleeping space for up to 20 women.

Catholic Charities also operates year-round and seasonal shelters at The Mission at 460 Linden Center Drive in Fort Collins. Last year, Catholic Charities Mission provided 26,000 nights of shelter to over 1,100 individuals and served over 73,000 meals to those in need.

The shelter is a cooperative effort involving the City of Fort Collins, United Way of Larimer County, Community of Christ Fort Collins Congregation and Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Denver - Larimer County Region.
