Is it just me or does it seem like this Presidential Election is more of a debacle than serious business.  Now it's all about reaping the rewards and making a mockery of the election and showing your support with toilet paper and donuts.

I grew up in a time where I was taught that you don't share who your voting for with anyone.  It was your personal decision that you honored by keeping secret and we still vote today behind closed curtains.

I never understood that...

You should be proud of your vote; not ashamed.  And by keeping it all a secret seems shameful to me.  You should shout it from the mountain tops and now thanks to several creative advertisers, you can tell the world who you're voting for and never say a word.

7-11 is a great example.  Last week I asked a lady who she was voting for and she said "that's none of your business" and 5 minutes later she walked out with her Blue "7 Election" cup and I thanked her for my answer.  Pretty sure she still hasn't put 2 and 2 together on that one.

Then there's Charmin.  No irony there when it comes to politics!  Now you can show your support for your favorite candidate but be careful because one is "Super Tough" while the other is "Super Soft."  Hmmmm, I wonder if upper management at Charmin just endorsed a candidate?

And have you seen the Presidential Chia Pets?  You gotta be kidding me.  These are so embarrassing I would have to buy the OTHER guys Chia to laugh at. I would be mortified if I were President Obama or Governor Romney and surprised the President hasn't issued a 'cease and desist' on that gimmick.

So what's the secret?  You'll drink out of your candidates coffee cup or wipe your (can't think of a legal word here) with his toilet paper but you won't tell me who your voting for? But then again, are you really going to wipe with your candidates toilet paper; or the other guys?  Exactly.  So figuring out who your voting for might not be so easy.

Me?  I have to keep it neutral here while acting as a "professional broadcaster" but those of you who know me know I am quite candid about my choice and why.  I have no secrets and I am very proud of where my vote is going...and where it's not.
