While the City Council get's set for a Q & A session tonight at Fossil Ridge High School in Fort Collins from 6p.m. to 8p.m. about the proposed disposable bag ban, yes this includes the brown paper bag's too, we have a great way to reuse those pesky bag's.

MAKING PATIO FURNITURE CUSHIONS

  • Head to the fabric store and pick up some outdoor fabric
  • Sew, like you would sew a pillow, leaving one side open to stuff (size depends on your cushion needs)
  • Stuff with your disposable plastic bags to desired thickness
  • Sew up remaining side
  • Grab some ice cold iced tea (or coffee, maybe hot cocoa) and hit the patio with your new cushions.

The proposed bag ban would require grocers to charge a .10 fee for each disposable bag used. The City Council will make a final decision on this ordinance August 19, 2014.
