Charley’s Honor Flight Iron Butt Ride Is Catching On in Ohio

I announced early this week that I am taking off on a motorcycle adventure to raise money and awareness for Honor Flight. It's working. Ohio is now on board.

A good friend of mine and member of Journey 4 Justice (VP and TL of Ohio 1), Erik Jon Barrett got wind of my big ride and wanted to jump on board and help his local Honor Flight hub: Honor Flight Tri-State. I have known Erik for a few years now and he is one stand up guy. He is a former Marine and has served our country well; and continues to do so.

Erik's mission will be a bit different in that he won't be riding for 10,000 miles but more like 5000 but he will be on more of an Ambassador mission to raise awareness for Honor Flight in general as he plans on making stops in markets that are trying to get their own Honor Flight hubs started. His plans are to intercept me somewhere in Louisiana and then ride into Jacksonville Florida where he will stay a day as Jacksonville does not have an HF hub and he's trying to change that. He will then pick up the ride again heading North before heading back home to Ohio.

Erik's goal is to also raise $10,000 to send 20 Veterans to Washington D.C. to see their Memorials from the Honor Flight Tri-State hub just outside Cincinnati Ohio. I know many of you reading this right now have ties and roots in Ohio so it's my hope that you will support his efforts and the Honor Flight Tri-State hub.
