Town of Windsor & CDOT Team Up For Street Improvements

The Town of Windsor is teaming up with the Colorado Department of Transportation to make some street improvements on Main Street starting September 24th through October 12, 2012.  Improvements will be between 7th Street and Weld County Road 19, and include resurfacing, curb and gutter work.

Colorado Patriot Guard Riders to Honor Sgt. Chris Birdwell, 25, U.S. Army

The Colorado Patriot Guard Riders will stand in Honor of  U.S. Army Sgt. Chris Birdwell, 25, of Windsor, Colorado this coming Friday, September 7th. Committal service will be held at approximately 1:45pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery.  This will be a 3-part mission with details to follow.

Windsor, Colorado Soldier, Christopher Birdwell, Killed in 3rd Tour of Duty in Afghanistan

Army Sgt. Christopher Birdwell was on his third tour of duty when he was killed in eastern Afghanistan. Chris grew up in Windsor.  His family was notified on Monday that he  had been shot in the chest by small-arms fire.  Our thoughts and prayers with the Birdwell family and God bless Chris for making the ultimate sacrifice.
