The Weld County Health Department is actively investigating reports of illnesses from individuals who swam at Windsor Lake recently. Because of this, the Town of Windsor has closed Windsor Lake until further notice.
March 13th, 2011, a day Jason and Brenna Wadsworth knew was coming, but still dreaded since the previous July. Their three-year-old daughter, their sweet little “Laney Bug,” Delaney Wadsworth left her once healthy, but now cancer stricken, painful body and passed on. A story that touched my heart, and many others deeply as well. That feeling did not end when Laney passed, her story and memory will continue on forever. On October 11, 2011, Addilyn Hawks of Windsor was diagnosed with PFIC-2 (Progressive Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis Type-2), a rare genetic liver disease which causes liver failure. There is no cure for this terminal disease. Addilyn has severe cirrhosis or liver scarring, which results in poor liver function. The only way symptoms of this disease can be reversed is with liver transplant. Addilyn will need a new liver to save her life, and a Greeley clothing store for kids is trying to help, but it’s very costly.
Volunteers in Fort Collins, Windsor, Loveland and Greeley, Colorado are raising funds for transplant patients like local baby, Addilyn.

Merchants and shoppers alike are invited to attend the market that will continue to open on Saturdays from 10am-1pm through Sept. 22nd.
If you didn’t already know, our studio is located in Windsor. After working here for the last almost five years I have fallen in love with the town. But if there is one knock I have on the town, it is the lack of quality restaurants. Don’t get me wrong, there are a few, just not many. My taste buds are dancing with excitement as I tell you, we just added a new one!
I rode into work today {there's a shocker} and for the first time ever parked across the street under a nice shade tree since it was like 99 when I got into town. But it was as I was making my way across the street and watching a small semi trying to make the corner off of Main onto 6th that I heard a noise that is never good.
When I was a kid I can remember my family always making the comment “I wish I had half as much energy as that kid.” I always got annoyed by it thinking that they were just lazy, and if they really wanted to they could get off the couch and run around in circles and bounce off the walls with me. Now that I have kids of my own I realize that their energy level really is through the roof and people weren’t kidding when they made those comments! I am always looking for creative ways to burn the kid’s energy, and this weekend it’s a no-brainer! Jr. JAM! The day where it’s fun to be a kid.
Some work will be done in Windsor this week that will cause part of the Poudre Trail to be closed for about a week. A section of the Poudre River Trail, one mile east of State Highway 257 will be closed due to the Town of Windsor sewer interceptor project. The closure will occur from Wednesday, June 13th through Tuesday, June 26th.
The High Park Fire has consumed over 36,000 acres, and is still reported at 0% containment. The shelter has been moved from Cache la Poudre Middle School in Laporte, to the Ranch at I-25 and Crossroads Blvd.
