Rain really is a good thing for more reasons than one. One of those reasons is we can now go camping and responsibly use a campfire again in Rocky Mountain National Park. The park banned all campfires last month because of the threat of wildfires in Colorado, but as of yesterday lifted part of that ban.

July 6, 2012 Lots of wildlife has been spotted along the Front range recently from moose to mountain lions. Five bull elk wandered into Loveland yesterday. According to an article in the Loveland Reporter Herald: The elk were spotted at Sixth Street and Colorado Avenue, then they ambled over to Garfield Elementary School to look for lunch.

If you’re planning on attending Loveland’s Fourth of July Festival, you’ll notice some extra transportation, pedal cabs. Volunteers from the Big Thompson Interact will be pealing the pedal cabs around North Lake Park on Wednesday. The pedal cabs are sent to be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
July 1, 2012 My wife Jenny and I volunteered over the weekend for Charley's Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run. It was a blast! We worked the 1st stop - Beaver's Den Leather. I had never been there before. What a magnificent little spot at the foot of the Big Thompson Canyon!
During a time of tragedy we all look for ways to help, and there are so many ways you can pitch in to help those affected by the wildfires in area. There is a new way to help the firefighters who have been injured or lost their own homes during the 2012 wildfire season, and also get a cool keepsake for yourself.
June 28, 2012 You won't be able to buy or shoot off fireworks in Loveland this 4th of July. Loveland’s City Council passed a ban on both the sale and use of normally-permissible personal fireworks within the city. The ban will continue until the governor’s executive order banning fireworks is called off.
June 22, 2012 The Sleigh Riders Motorcycle Toy Run did the walk through with the management team at Thunder Mountain today and I was made privy of some information that I don't know if I am supposed to share but I am going to anyway. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission, right?
